Grand Opening!!!
The Potting Shed Nursery has recently opened a retail store on site, where you can find an extensive line of ceramic and clay pottery, specialty tools and all of your everyday gardening needs, including Winged Weeders, brand named fertilizers/soils, gardening books and much more. Please stop by today to see what all we have to offer!
Spring is officially here!
As of March 15, 2009, The Potting Shed Nursery is now open everyday except Thursday. Our new spring hours are listed below.
Monday: 9am to 6pm (or later)
Tuesday: 9am to 6pm (or later)
Wednesday: 9am to 6pm (or later)
Thursday: Closed
Friday: 9am to 6pm
Saturday: 9am to 6pm (or later)
Sunday: 12pm to 6pm
The 7th Annual Spring Garden Expo
April 10-11, 2009- Friday, 8am to 6pm & Saturday, 8am to 4:30pm at the Chicopee Woods Agricultural Center. Admission is free. Over 50 vendors will be featured, along with gardening demos, hands on workshops, a children’s booth and a raffle to benefit Habitat for Humanity. Also, free mulch and compost will be provided by the City of Gainesville.
**Garden Walk tickets will be on sale at the Spring Expo. Garden Walk 2009 is on Saturday, June 13 from 9am to 4pm. $10 per ticket for advanced purchase and $15 per ticket for day of the tour. For more information, please call (770) 535-8293**
The 5th Annual Iris Festival
The 5th Annual Iris Festival has been scheduled. Please come join us April 25 & 26, May 2 & 3 and May 9 & 10 from 9am until 4pm. Over 30,000 iris varieties will be in bloom, including unique bearded and un-bearded irises. A Master Garden Booth will also be featured for those needing advice or those who have questions about their gardens.
*Currently, classes are being scheduled for April including Container Gardening & Backyard Birdcages. An email will be sent to those on The Potting Shed Nursery mailing list as soon as they are scheduled*
